As time has moved on, and the impact of the pandemic has lessened, we have learned that our staff continue to struggle with the after effects of a relentless workload, grief, loss and personal tragedies, and that they are working harder than ever. As we enter into a period of financial austerity, there is a belief that pressures on staff will increase, meaning supporting their mental health and wellbeing is no longer a nice to have, it has become a valued and appreciated necessity.
